Before filming
When you receive your product package, here’s how to get started:
- Unboxing: If you’d like, create an unboxing video or take photos of your first impressions.
- Check the fit: Open the packages and try the products on your dog. Use the adjustment points to customize the fit (e.g., back length, chest circumference, waist, or leg length). If the product seems too large or too small, don’t hesitate to contact us.
- Let the products settle:
- Products may wrinkle during transit. To ensure they look their best, let them straighten out before filming.
- Hang them up outdoors in humid weather, in the bathroom after a shower, or lightly moisten and let them air dry. - Mix and match with Hurtta: Get creative by pairing your new products with other Hurtta gear! For example, combine a leash with a harness or layer a Hurtta jacket over a harness. Show how versatile and stylish our products can be for any adventure!

Adventurer blogs & stories
As part of your role in the Hurtta Pack, we’re thrilled to receive eight (8) adventure stories from you throughout the year! These stories or blog posts can be written in your preferred language or in English and should be accompanied by photos and videos that bring your experiences to life.
Your unique perspective is what drew us to you—what feels ordinary to you might spark inspiration and joy in others. You were chosen to join the Hurtta family because of the incredible way you share your life and adventures with your dog. We admire your creativity, your storytelling, and your ability to capture magical moments.
Everyday life with dogs—their wagging tails, goofy antics, and heartwarming moments—has the power to brighten someone’s day. When writing your adventure stories, focus on the special experiences you’ve shared with your dog. These don’t need to be product reviews (though you’re welcome to highlight how certain products enhanced your adventures). Instead, we want to hear about your journey:
- Where did you go?
- What did you do?
- What made the moment unforgettable?
Take time to reflect on what makes you dog’s life extraordinary:
- What are their favorite activities?
- Do they have unique quirks, talents, or habits?
- Are there hobbies you enjoy together, like hiking, agility, or camping?
- Did an ordinary day—like a morning walk—turn into something unexpectedly magical?
Share your adventures from your corner of the world, whether it’s:
- The vibrant buzz of city life.
- The tranquility of mountain trails.
- Life on the road in a camper van.
You can also include tips for navigating different weather conditions, camping, traveling with dogs, or enjoying coffee breaks together. Whether you’re exploring rugged terrain, raising a playful pup, or cherishing quiet moments with a senior companion, your stories bring a unique voice to the Hurtta Pack.

Tips for writing stories
As a Hurtta Adventurer, your role is to inspire and encourage other dog owners to embrace the joy of exploring nature with their furry companions. Whether you’re a seasoned storyteller or just starting out, these tips will help you craft engaging stories that reflect the kind of content we’re looking for:
Crafting your story:
- Make it personal: Use your dog’s name and highlight their unique personality. Every dog has special traits, quirky habits, or clever tricks that make them one-of-a-kind—share what makes your pup extraordinary!
- Set the scene: Immerse your audience in the outdoor atmosphere. Focus on the adventure itself—the sights, sounds, and feelings of being in nature together. Let readers feel like they’re right there with you.
- Product mentions: Hurtta products are secondary to your story. Add your personal usage tips and feedback at the end of your piece.
- How did the product perform during your adventure?
- Did it suit your dog’s needs?
- Did it stand up to the weather or terrain? - Highlight the bond: Above all, center your story on the special connection between you and your dog during your adventures.
Writing your post copy:
- Let your dog take center stage. Share your adventures and experiences together, with Hurtta products naturally fitting into the story—keeping the focus on the moments that matter.
- Highlight the journey. Whether you're exploring new trails or enjoying everyday moments, keep the spotlight on what you and your dog are doing together.
- A text length of 200–400 words is ideal for capturing the essence of your adventure.
Capturing images
- Trust and respect your dog's mood and personality. Real, fun, impromptu moments are often the most appealing.
- Choose environments that are natural and visually interesting. Outdoor settings that viewers can imagine and seek out on their own are more important than overly grand or contrived landscapes.
- We generally like to see three image styles: landscapes, active dog activities, and doggie close-ups.
- Please provide us with 7–15 pictures per story. We’ll select the most appropriate ones, i.e. we may not publish all images.
- Submit jpg / jpeg images (at least half should be horizontal).
Shooting videos
- If you tell your story in a video, 30–60 seconds is an ideal length. Proportion the length of the video to the channel, for example TikTok 20 to 60 seconds, YouTube 30 to 120 seconds. You can also split your story into several separate videos.
- Shoot your videos outdoors to take advantage of the natural scenery, such as mountains, lakes, rivers, beaches, forests, sunsets, and with small details, including mushrooms, pinecones, branches, leaves, flowers, etc.
- People like to see a happy, playful dog in motion. We want to see them enjoying the various hobbies and sports they live for: running, jumping, playing, hiking, picnics, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, etc.
- Impromptu interactions between dogs and humans make for special moments. Focus on the dog near a person, a dog near someone's legs, back or hands patting the dog may be visible.
- If you use music in your videos, it should be copyright-free and be able to be removed if necessary. We can also add the music.
- If the video has speech, we don't recommend using music
- Videos in format mpg4 / mp4 or in format .mov (vertical for TikTok, horizontal for YouTube).
Discount codes
As a Hurtta Adventurer, you’ll receive a discount code to share with your followers, giving them 15% off the entire Hurtta range on hurtta.com. At the same time, you’ll generate sales for yourself!
How it works
- Your followers get 15% off when they use your code while ordering.
- The discount is valid throughout the year, except during the blackout dates shown in your schedule.
- You’ll earn a 15% commission on net sales made using your code (net sales exclude taxes, shipping, and returns).
Tracking and payments
- Track your sales performance via Klear, which shows total gross sales. Net sales data will be provided quarterly, with the final amount confirmed in January (after accounting for all returns).
- Your commission will be paid in late February 2026
Sales goals and rewards
- Our minimum goal for you is €2000 in net sales per year, which would earn you at least €300 in commission, along with product packages valued at €500+.
- If sales cooperation isn’t possible, you can earn extra products:
- Spend over €500 → Get bonus products.
- Spend over €1000, €1500, etc. → Earn even more!
Tips for better sales results
- Highlight weather conditions the products are ideal for.
- Share the sizes your dog uses and their weight to help followers choose the right fit.
- Emphasize measurement instructions on hurtta.com to reduce the risk of returns.
- Share tips for adjusting the fit, such as how you customize the product for your dog.
Plan and schedule how and when to share your code for maximum impact. While we’re here to support you, no one knows your audience better than you!
