Let’s break it down: Houndtex® outer fabrics feature a non-toxic polyurethane film laminated to the inside of the fabric. This invisible layer is waterproof, strong, yet flexible and quiet—no crunchy noises to distract from your fun or solitude. And the best part? It’s eco-friendly, too. The Houndtex® film doesn’t contain harmful fluorohydrocarbons or phthalates. We haven’t stopped there either. For maximum ‘keep your doggy dry’ we also tape all seams to keep water out, and you’ll find waterproof ratings right on the packaging and product pages.

Unlike humans, dogs don’t sweat through their skin, so their coats don’t need as much ventilation. Still, a bit of breathability goes a long way in keeping their fur dry and preventing unwanted odors.
