If there’s one thing Keela and I love to do, it’s exploring - especially new places, where she can find exciting trails, have fun and enjoy novels sights and smells!

Of course, new places are also more exciting for me. I love seeing new cities, beautiful landscapes and being able to take it all in. I’m very thankful for a dog, who has as much wanderlust as me – there’s no doubt that Keela absolutely has a blast every time we go somewhere new and among her favorite things to explore are mountains and huge beaches.

Now, we don’t have a lot of mountains in Denmark, but we do have amazing beaches with endless dunes and that’s a big winner in Keela’s books as well. And being able to let her explore the beaches, dig hole after hole, run up and down the dunes, follow little trails and enjoying the sights and smells of the beach brings me so much joy. Not to mention letting her go for a swim – that’s definitely a favorite summer activity for her!

There’s just no doubt about her pure joy and excitement when I let her out on the west coast of Denmark.

On these trips – whether to beaches, forests or mountains – I try to pack lightly, both on myself and Keela. And I immediately loved the belt and backpack as a set. Not only does it look great, but it is super comfortable for me – I barely felt it – and the backpack fit Keela so well. The belt has perfect space for treats, a small water bottle and phone and keys (I love the zipper pocket for the latter!) and at the same time, I could put some things in Keela’s backpack like a foldable water bowl, treats and bags. The backpack has a good amount of space and distributes the weight well!

It’s a great set for all hikes – big or small – and I’m excited for many more adventures with Keela and our new favorite hiking gear!
