Spring is slowly arriving here in Norway, yet winter continues to say hello some days. Today was one of those days. We had some warmer weather the past week so the snow was already gone on some places, but they got covered with snow again.

We had to take advantage of the (probably) last day with snow, so Splinter and I drove to a lake close by and went for a long calm hike. It's a very quiet spot even though the path is a road. This makes it for the perfect spot to hike in the winter as the path gets cleaned for the few people that go to their cabins in the winter.

A lot of birds where singing while we where walking down the path. Some other animals also seemed to have woken up from winter as there seemed to be a lot of very interesting smells. This made that the hike was way slower as Splinter was taking in all the smells.

I secretly love these kind of walks as I can take the time to look around and notice all the beauty while Splinter is busy sniffing around. Splinter was very energetic today, he was running and jumping around between the sniffing. He climbed on a lot of big rocks to have a better view of the area. He was also rolling around a lot in the wet snow. The wet snow seems to be his absolute favorite to roll in.
