With its enhanced design and fit, this practical raincoat is now even more comfortable. It won’t hinder your dog’s natural movement, and you can rely on it to stay in place, even during energetic zoomies. The coat’s protection even extends to your home because keeping rain, snow, and mud off your dog’s coat helps to keep it off your carpet and furniture too.
Thoughtful additions to this updated, environmentally friendly ECO version include an appealing melange outer fabric that enhances water resistance, as well as a soft and flexible woven lining that won’t rustle. It also won’t tangle your dog’s fur.
Despite providing robust wet-weather protection, the Monsoon Coat ECO offers remarkably easy on-off dressing thanks to its adjustable Hurtta webbing belt and quick-snap buckle. The discreetly placed back length adjuster on the interior of the raincoat is an update that makes the coat more waterproof and eliminates any chance of the cord snagging.
The raincoat offers maximum protection from rain and wind. For dogs with thick fur, the raincoat provides serious, year-round protection, even during the harshest winter conditions.
The coat also boasts fully taped waterproof seams to stand up to winter’s wettest weather. The adjustable, waterproof tricot RainStopper inner collar is extra soft and helps to prevent water infiltration. This innovative design ensures protection for both the neck and chest areas.
The raincoat’s wide belly flap not only shields the dog’s belly from mud, sand, and water splashes, but also keeps the raincoat securely in place. Stylish reflective prints on the coat’s back hem, along with a reflective stripe at the chest, enhance visibility in lowlight, adding an extra layer of safety for you and your dog, especially in busy urban areas.
Hurtta’s exclusive sizing method guarantees a snug fit for most breeds. The raincoat is also designed for layering, making it a must-have for wet, windy, and unpredictable weather. And don’t tell your dog but it happens to be quite effective around mud puddles too.

Improved Fit
The updated Monsoon Coat II ECO has much the same fit as the previous model, however the neckline of the updated model has been improved so that it is more fitted for the dog and there is more space around the front legs for freer movement.
We have introduced two new sizes, 23 and 28, to better accommodate to smaller dog breeds.
Adjustability
The adjustability cord for the back of the rain jacket can now be found on the inside of the jacket similarly to many other Hurtta jackets, preventing the cord from getting snagged when used outside.
The adjustability cord has also been aligned with other Hurtta jacket's so that the adjustability cord is the same for all jackets.
Lining
The lining of the new model has been updated to a woven fabric that it is softer and smoother, and more suitable for all dog breeds.

Easy Repair
Inside the product you will find a repair opening, through which you can easily repair tears in the seam or fabric of the product. The repair opening is indicated by the “Hurtta repair” tag and by the colour of the sewing thread, which is a different colour than the rest of the product stitching. Hanging Loop Addition
The new model also has a hanging loop found in the collar, so that the rain jacket is easier to hang, dry and store.
Find the right size
When your dog is standing up, take their measurement's as the video shows. The more precise measurements you have taken, the better the product will fit for your dog.
Compare the taken measurements with the information in the size chart.
For jacket's the back length determines the right size. If your dog's measurements falls in between sizes then choose a larger size.

Wir haben diesen Mantel für wetterlich "interessante" Tage geholt und nach noch nur ein/zwei Spaziergängen bin ich hin und weg.
Vor dem Kauf hatte ich Sorge, dass die Schulterfreiheit durch den Stoff vorne, ähnlich wie bei Norwegergeschirren, die Achulterfreiheit einschränkt. Beim Anprobieren verflogen meine Bedenken, da dieses Stück Stoff nicht sonderlich eng an liegt und in einem leicht schrägen Winkel angebracht ist. So bleibt Schulterfreiheit und optimaler Schutz vor Regen gewährleistet.
Desweiteren dachte ich, die Stofflappen an den Hinterbeinen würden beim Gehen abstehen und dadurch Wind und Regen an den Körper lassen. Bezüglich des Windes ist das auch so eingetreten, solange der Regen aber von oben kommt, bedeckt der Mantel zumindest von oben den Körper noch gut genug. Dass der Stoff an den Hinterbeinen so überdurchschnittlich lang ist, erweist sich insgesamt eher als Vorteil.
Dazu sei gesagt, dass Sanji zwischen Größe 30 und 35 schwankt und unsere gewählte 35 vielleicht etwas zu groß ist und dadurch die Stofflappen nicht so optimal sitzen und schützen wie sie es sollen. Die Bänder an den Hinterbeinen könnten kürzer sein, so hielten sie den Stoff besser am Körper.
Der Bauch- und Kragenbereich sitzt ideal wehrt sehr gut das Wetter ab. Bei einem kleinen, kurzbeinigem Hund war mir ein gut geschützter Bauch besonders wichtig, wenn Sanji durchs Gras geht, ist er von unten nämlich schnell nass.
Mit der wabenartigen Midlayer von Hurrta, lässt sich das Ganze wunderbar kombinieren.
Insgesamt bisher sehr zu empfehlen. Ich freu mich schon auf die nächsten Regentage ;)
A truly perfect jacket for rainy days, while also being great to wear otherwise. The fabric is soft and comfortable, and the color is absolutely beautiful. The jacket fits well and has definitely become a new favorite rain jacket.
Monsoon Coat II ECO
Tried the Hurtta Monsoon Eco coat today for the first time and I knew it was going to be good, but it was fantastic! It was so easy to put on (Bertie’s not keen), a perfect fit, I ordered a 55. It was a wet day and muddy underfoot and we were out for 3 hours, but Bertie was completely dry underneath when we got home. It’s so well designed as it covers underneath, round the neck and the hind quarters really well, and a lovely colour too. So pleased with my purchase, kept admiring Bertie while we were walking.
Great coat for rainy and windy weather. It’s a bit bigger compared to Hurtta’s winter coats of similar cut and same size (80), but it can be easily adjusted as needed with the elastic strings around the shoulders/neck and along the back. Love that it has a hanging hook which makes it easier to hang for drying. Would have loved to have the under-leg strings hook/unhook in a similar way to the winter coats to allow for a more comfortable dressing (kind of a workout to lift a Great Dane’s legs when she doesn’t want to let you dress her).
Now we’re just missing some great Hurtta boots and we’re all set for the bad weather.;)
